A deck of 25 Harry Potter–themed cards is handed to a spectator, who cuts the deck and selects one. Without looking at its face, the card is set aside. The remaining cards are then divided into two equal packets.

As the magician turns over one card from each packet, they clearly do not match—until suddenly, two cards have an affinity; they match. These are set aside. Moments later, another pair matches… and then another. Four matching cards now lie on the table.

But the real kicker? When the spectator finally turns over the card they set aside at the very beginning, it matches the other four perfectly.
