With Zag, created by Mike Gallo, you perform the iconic Zig-Zag illusion at your fingertips using nothing more than a borrowed quarter. It’s visual, startling, and ends with something they can actually examine.

You borrow a coin and briefly describe the classic illusion. Holding the quarter openly, you pinch the center and slowly slide it to the side. In full view, the coin separates into three distinct sections—misaligned and locked together in an impossible zig-zag shape. In this warped state, the coin can be handed out. They can look. They can feel. There’s nothing to find.

You take the coin back, give it a gentle rub, and the impossible melts away. The quarter is restored to normal and returned—borrowed, broken, fixed.
