Sunken Anchors by Ryan Schlutz - Gilded
Penguin Magic
Sunken Anchors is a deck that feels like it was pulled straight from the ocean floor.
For collectors who want something truly rare, the Gilded Edition elevates Sunken Anchors into a shimmering treasure.
The latest release in Ryan Schlutz’s acclaimed False Anchors series, created in collaboration with Penguin Magic, this deck blends minimalist design with hidden depth—both visually and methodologically.
At first glance, it’s a beautifully restrained deep-sea blue deck. Look closer, and you’ll find secrets lurking just beneath the surface.
Inside, you’ll discover two special gaff cards, along with exclusive video instruction from Ryan Schlutz himself, teaching practical, deceptive routines built specifically for these tools. This isn’t just a collector’s deck—it’s a working magician’s weapon.
Designed by Jill Biebricher, the custom double-anchor back design features thin borders that reward careful handling. Matching Jokers carry the anchor motif, while the custom Ace of Spades looks as though it’s been twisted from rope. The familiar courts and number cards are subtly recolored to stay readable while perfectly matching the nautical theme.
The matte, uncoated tuck box has a soft, tactile feel, is printed inside and out, and is finished with a stamp-style sticker seal that completes the vintage-relic aesthetic.
Printed on Penguin’s UltraLux™ Finish with AquaFlow™ Coating, the traditionally cut cards handle effortlessly right out of the box and only improve with use—perfect for faros, spreads, and real-world performance.
Classic. Mysterious. Deceptive.
